This place is the real deal for Yemeni food and cuisine. I always get the Saltah (veggie version) with assorted Yemeni bread and pepper sauce. It hits the spot with either their house made tea or their mango juice. It's located heart of downtown and many different people come here. One thing to note is to pay at the counter once you're done.

Straight to the point, Hafsa gets a five star.. Haneth gets a four. Definitely I'd recommend you try both. Portions are great for the value, place has plenty indoor seating. Food arrived quickly. We had a couple traditional plates, and a couple shawarmas. If we're in the area we'd try again.

I love just about everything meal I've tried here. Some of my favorites are the house salad, fahsa, and beef kafta. The service is quick and efficient. I often dont have to wait long which is nice. They recently updated the inside of their building to a more modern feel. The only complaint I would have is hoping that they would reupholster some of the seats in the restaurants have permanent damage to the cushions. Sometimes we go there to visit with people for a while. Yet the seats make you want to not sit that long to talk.

Decided to try this place based on good Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! Yemen food is new to me, so we got recommendations from our waiter. I have no idea what I ate (lamb/potato stew-like something) but it was delish! Also beef schwarma salad. Opted for dessert and had a yummy date, bread, heavy whipping cream, honey drizzle dish and I was so glad to have tried it. It was so good! I love trying new-to-me food and Remas did not disappoint. Food was yummy and service was kind and helpful. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

Great flavors, fresh food. I am a vegetarian and the grilled vegetables with hummus are a healthy flavorful meal option. My daughter loves the chicken shawarma sandwich and the price. In my 3 weeks in Hamtramck I went there 4 times!

This food is SO GOOD. I highly recommend a platter/tray if you have a few people to feed. It's a very generous amount of food for a great price. Shawarma are also wonderful. Plenty of parking, and the staff is very nice.

This place is so good it's hard to explain in words. I was in Michigan visiting family, and we made the trek to Hamtramck to go to Remas. I hadn't had Yemeni food before, but being from the SF Bay Area I had assumed that the middle eastern food I've had back home would be comparable. I was very wrong - I didn't know what I was missing until I came here, and now I crave Yemeni food. The restaurant itself is pretty big and was packed with families and friends eating dinner. We ordered a bunch of food including some chicken, hummus, a salad, and bread. Everything was so fresh and delicious, but the thing I was not prepared for is this garlic sauce. I think it's just whipped raw garlic or something to that effect. It's definitely not for the faint of heart if you're not a fan of garlic, but I am and I honestly could have eaten it straight. We demolished a relatively large plate of it and I would have asked for more, but the portions of the entrees we got were so big we couldn't eat anymore. Also there's a dispenser of hot chai by the register and you shouldn't bypass it. I love chai and theirs is great with or without milk in it. Next time I'm in Michigan I'll definitely be back, potentially more than once just to get that garlic sauce.
